If we ask our self what is a halogen…we see 7A: Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine, and Iodine. Halogen chemistry is easy. Believe in yourself: believe in your self. Why…because they lack an octet…an octet is eight electrons in the outer-most shell. The goal is to have the octet full. 7 + 1 = 8. Enough said…lets get down to business.
